Depart from Bukhara at 9:00 AM and travel through Nurata to a yurt camp in the Kyzylkum Desert (Sputnik or Safari Yurt Camp). On the way, stop in Nurata to visit the ruins of Alexander the Great’s fortress, the sacred spring, and other local sights. Continue to Lake Aydarkul for lunch at a lakeside restaurant. Depending on the weather, you can enjoy a walk along the shore or go for a swim. After lunch, arrive at the yurt camp, check into your traditional yurt, and take a short camel ride or a walk in the dunes. In the evening, enjoy a campfire and live traditional music performed by local bards.
