The 8 days Annapurna Base Camp Trek is perfect for those spirited adventurers who may be short on time but still want to experience the remarkable Annapurna Conservation Area scenery and the fascinating lifestyles of the Gurung culture and their villages. The Annapurna Base Camp Trek (ABC) (4130m) is also referred to as the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek. This trek offers to close up views of massive mountain ranges and peaks, including Hiunchuli, Machapuchare (Fishtail), and Annapurna South peaks.
The ideal time to do this trek is in spring when the Rhododendron forests are in full flower (red, pink & white), but it can be traversed at any time of the year. These are some of the peaks you will view along the trail: Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m), Mt. Manaslu (8163 m), Mt. Annapurna II (7937 m.), Mt. Annapurna III (7555m), Mt. Annapurna IV (7525m), Mt. Annapurna south (7219m), Tharpu Chuli (5663m), Singu Chuli (6501m), Mt. Nilgiri (7041m), Mt. Machapuchare (6998m), Mt. Hiunchuli (6441m), Mt. Lamjung Himal (6986m) and Tukuche Peak (6920m). This region is rich in Tibetan Buddhist culture and is clearly noticeable by the many chortens (Buddhist stone monuments), and Tibetan prayer flags fluttering in the breeze along the trail. You will discover yaks grazing, trek through bamboo forests and observe the typical Tibetan style architecture in the villages in this region.
Your wonderful adventure begins at Kathmandu from where you will head by road to Pokhara and on to Nayapul (1050m) where we start our trek with the Modi Khola River directly below us and terraced paddy fields above. Our next destination is Ghandruk (1950m) and the Himalaya Lodge. From here we continue on the trail and pass Sinuwa, Deurali, ABC, Bamboo, Jhinu Hot Spring, Nayapul and back to Pokhara.
Sherpa Expedition & Trekking has more than 40 years in the trekking business and has an excellent reputation. We will take care of all permits (required in this region), accommodation and meals throughout the trek.

A representative from Sherpa Expedition & Trekking will collect you from the hotel and take you to the tourist bus station. We will then head to Pokhara, Nepal’s second-largest city situated next to iconic Phewa Tal (lake). After arriving Pokhara, you have spectacular views of Annapurna, Machapuchare (Fishtail) in the north, Dhaulagiri in the west, Lamjung Himal and Manaslu in the east. You will stay overnight at a hotel near Lakeside from where you can watch the sunset over the lake. This is a great way to end the day.
