Annapurna Basecamp Heli Trek is a trekking in the beautiful Annapurna region ( to ABC) all the way to the famous Annapurna Base Camp, an exciting helicopter ride back after trek to Annapurna Base Camp, and cultural tours of two famous cities: Pokhara (the Lake City) & Kathmandu ( the buzzing capital of Nepal).

Best Time for Annapurna basecamp helicopter trek

Except Monsoon season – ABC Helicopter trek is suitable throughout the year. Reason to skip monsoon to travel to Annapurna basecamp is because of the foggy weather – which might affect the schedule by delaying the helicopter flight.

Autumn (September to November) & Spring (March to May) are regarded as the best time to travel to Annapurna basecamp.

Apart form the best – Winter is also a good season for Annapurna basecamp helicopter trek in Nepal. Winter are cold in the mountains of Annapurna but the beauty of the blues sky and the white Himalaya are even better in this cold time of the year. How cold? It will get below 0 degree Celsius, during the mooring and the nights. But in the sunny day the temperature will be around 10 degree Celsius.

The route in this case will be = Ghandruk/Siwi – Chhomrong – ABC – Pokhara – Kathmandu. IN this shortest option; you will skip Poonhill. Skipping Poonhill means you will see the stunning view from the top of Poonhill.

From the top of the poonhill – one can see best view of Mt Dhaulagiri range and Mt Annapurna range. Except from the Ghorepani side of ABC route – Dhaulagiri range can not be seen. Means – Dhaulagiri range can not be seen if you do the shorter option as stated above.

Trekking to Annapurna basecamp by helicopter can be a shortest option and luxury Annapurna basecamp trekking, indeed.
