This is the ultimate trek for nature lovers and for those who love nature! This is an opportunity to take trails through the Annapurna Conservation Area that will take you to the highest pass and the deepest valley in the world. Thorong La Pass (5,416m/17,769ft) and the Kali Gandaki Gorge (5,571m) are just two attractions of this amazing trek. You will discover why this is the most popular trekking region in Nepal. You will follow trails through remarkable rhododendron, oak, bamboo and cyprus forests and be surprised at the closeness of the colossal snow-covered peaks: Annapurna I, II, III, IV, Dhaulagiri (8167m) (meaning white beautiful mountain in Sanskrit), Machapuchare (Fish Tail), Annapurna South and Manaslu. You will also visit one of the highest lakes in the world, Tilicho Lake (4919m), and experience the unique cultures of the many villagers living in this far-off region. A visit to the famous Buddhist and Hindu holy site at Muktinath is a calming experience in a land where there are numerous different sects living together in harmony. It is said that there are over a 100 varieties of orchids in the Annapurna area, as well as many animal species like the Martin deer, Langur monkey and the mysterious Snow Leopard.
Trekking through this region will expose you to the fascinating Sherpa people with their affectionate friendly smiles and who are also well-known for their endurance as high altitude climbers. They are respected worldwide among serious high-altitude climbers.
The trek itself starts from Dharapani (1,960m/6,430ft and takes you through the following villages: Chame (2,710m/8,891ft), Pisang (3,300m/10824ft), Manang (3,500m/11,482ft), Yak Kharka (4,110m/13,484ft), Thorong Phedi (4420m/14501ft), Thorong La Pass (5416m/17764ft), Muktinath (3,800/12,467ft) then drive to Jomsom (2,700m) and on to Pokhara (8,50m). The last part of this trek is a drive from Pokhara back to Kathmandu (1,350m). We will spend a day at Manang to better acclimatize and prepare ourselves before ascending to Thorong La Pass, the highest point on the trek.

Upon arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be met by a Sherpa Expedition & Trekking representative and taken by private vehicle to your hotel. After checking in at the hotel, you will be briefed on what to expect on your trek and given an itinerary. With time to spare you can wander around the tourist hub of Thamel or take in the sights of Kathmandu Valley.
