Set out to climb one of the highest active volcanoes in the world - Cotopaxi. The volcano is located in the middle of a national park and is part of the so-called "Road of the Volcanoes". Enjoy on this tour paramo landscape in its original form and of course the unforgettable view over the Andes when you reach the summit of the "neck of the moon" (translation from Quichua) in the early morning hours.

In the morning, revision and organization of the mountain equipment. Then drive from Quito to the central Andes of Ecuador to a simple, cozy country inn in a converted former hacienda. Horses, ducks and llamas are still at home here today. This is your base camp at an altitude of 3,125m.
