The Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour, with a landing at Kala Patthar, is a one-day aerial excursion that provides a close-up encounter with Mount Everest. This exclusive helicopter tour package offers the opportunity to explore the world's highest peaks, culminating in a flyover to Kala Patthar (5545m). With its concise duration, this tour is designed to provide a complete experience within a short timeframe.

Departing from Kathmandu, the Everest Base Camp Helicopter Flight flyover at Kala Patthar Tour takes you east of the capital, traversing Nagarkot. The lush hills and valleys gradually give way to magnificent snow-capped peaks, including Jugal Himal, the Langtang range, Gaurishankar, and other prominent summits.

Upon reaching Lukla, a 15-minute stop is made to refuel the helicopter and conduct technical assessments. Guests can relish the mountainous atmosphere and breathtaking scenery during this brief intermission. Lukla is the entry point for most treks and expeditions into the Khumbu region. The Tenzing Hillary Airport, named after the renowned mountaineer Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa, the first successful Everest summiteers, is famous for its thrilling landing experience for incoming planes. Subsequently, the journey continues into the territory of Sagarmatha National Park.

The Himalayan panoramas become even more awe-inspiring as Namche Bazaar comes into view. Serving as the region's economic hub, Namche is a vibrant Sherpa market town and is often referred to as the 'gateway to Everest.' Mount Ama Dablam stands out prominently during the helicopter ride amidst other notable peaks like Kusum Kanguru, Thamserku, and Kwangde. Progressing past renowned Sherpa villages such as Syangboche, which offers remarkable views of the Everest range and houses the Everest View Hotel, Tengboche with its expansive Tengboche Monastery, the largest in the Khumbu region, and Gorak Shep, the final settlement in the area, the journey finally culminates at the Everest Base Camp, Khumbu glacier, and Kalapathar summit.

Situated at an elevation of 5,380 meters beneath the formidable Khumbu Icefall, the Everest Base Camp is a dream destination for countless trekkers and adventure enthusiasts worldwide.

After flying over the Everest Base Camp, crossing the Khumbu glacier, and Camp II, the helicopter overfly Kala Patthar, presenting an even more breathtaking perspective for those who wish to capture the scenery. Known as a paradise for photographers, Kala Patthar boasts a 360-degree panorama of the Everest region, including the elusive Everest itself. Unlike the base camp, where Everest hides behind the Lhotse Nuptse ridge, Kala Patthar provides an unobstructed view of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Cho Oyu, Ama Dablam, Khumbutse, Changtse, Pumori, and other remarkable peaks, provided that weather conditions are favorable.

Following the flyover from Kala Patthar, the next stop on the Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour is Syangboche. Here, guests can savor breakfast at nearly 4,000 meters while marveling at the world's highest peak, Everest, from the renowned Everest View Hotel.

After a pleasant 30 to 60-minute stop at Syangboche, the return journey commences, with the final landing again at Lukla. Bid farewell to the Everest Region as you take off from Lukla and relish the last leg of the flight, reveling in the aerial vistas of the majestic Himalayas. In less than an hour, you will return to Kathmandu, completing the Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour.
