Gokyo and Everest Base Camp trek

Everest Base Camp Trekking one of the most popular trekking journey among trekkers. Starting at the upper Phakding, this mountain trek follows the Dudh Kosi River then leads to Namche, a busy bazaar that is a junction for trekkers, the local Sherpa and expeditions en route to the mighty Mt. Everest. Along this journey, we are greeted by the magnificent forests of rhododendron, magnolia and giant firs. The best time for Everest Base Camp trekking is during early autumn and late springs when the flowers are blooming all over. After trekking through a high crossing path we will have an enchanting view of Everest and then a 2-hours walk will take us towards the Tangboche Monastery. The beautiful monastery is in the height of 3867m and is surrounded by dwarf firs and rhododendrons.

A very traditional trekking, Everest Gokyo Trekking gives the trekkers magnificent views of the mountain peaks and the Ngozumpa Glacier which is the largest in Nepals Himalayas. With so many popular mountains with most of them being in the height range of 8000 like Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse and Makalu which can be seen from Gokyo Ri above Gokyo Lake, this trek has always been famous among the trekkers. One of the best things about this whole trek is the view that we can get from the wonderful ice point between Cho Oyu and Gyachung (2922m) located in Khumbu region.

Everest Gokyo trekking, which takes us past many monasteries and gives us the wonderful view of Everest and other snow towering mountains get closer is the best experience one could have in these treks. Our rest stop will be Namche where we will allow us to explore the region and acclimatize. Then a trek to Everest Gokyo Ri(5483 meters), and a leisure return to the Namche and Lukla for our flight back to Kathmandu.
