The Gokyo Lake Trek offers a truly unforgettable adventure, taking you through some of the most stunning and pristine landscapes in the Himalayas. With the striking turquoise waters of Gokyo Lake as your backdrop, this trek showcases the breathtaking beauty of the high-altitude region, surrounded by some of the world's tallest peaks.
The journey includes thrilling climbs to the high passes of Gokyo Ri and Cho La (5,330m), as well as treks through the Dudh Koshi and Khumbu valleys, where you'll witness the grandeur of four towering 8,000m peaks—Everest, Cho Oyu, Makalu—and the immense Ngozumpa Glacier, the largest in Nepal.
As you pass through the homeland of the Sherpa people, you’ll be immersed in their unique culture, hospitality, and traditions, making this more than just a trek but an enriching cultural experience. The Gokyo lakes themselves, located in the Sagarmatha Zone of northeastern Nepal, hold deep religious significance for both Hindus and Buddhists, with Gokyo Cho (Dudh Pokhari) being the main lake and a sacred site for many. The village of Gokyo, perched on its eastern shore, offers a peaceful respite amidst the towering peaks.

Our adventure begins with an early morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, often hailed as one of the most scenic flights in the world. As you soar above the Himalayas, the breathtaking views of towering peaks will leave you with memories to last a lifetime.
Upon landing in Lukla, we begin our short trek towards Phakding. After passing the local police check post, we descend towards the Dudh Koshi River, with the soothing sounds of the river guiding our way. The trail takes us through a picturesque landscape until we reach the charming village of Phakding, where we’ll settle in for the night, ready for the exciting days ahead.
