Horseback Ride Through Cotopaxi National Park to Limpiopungo Lagoon - Small Group
Cotopaxi National Park
Przegląd wycieczki
Saddle up at the edge of the Avenue of the Volcanoes and spend the day riding through one of Ecuador's most dramatic landscapes. This three-hour horseback ride takes you across the high-altitude páramo of Cotopaxi National Park, with the volcano's glacier often visible on the skyline as you ride toward Limpiopungo Lagoon, a wetland where wild horses graze freely, and Andean waterbirds work the shoreline.
This is a small-group experience by design: with a maximum of 10 riders, your guide can actually pace the ride to each traveler's comfort with horses, adjust the route for weather, and take the time to point out condors, caracaras, and native flora along the way, something that's much harder to do in a larger group. Responsible Travel South America works with local horsemen who know this terrain, and every ride supports the community-based operators who help keep Cotopaxi's ecosystem intact.
Lunch is included, and you're back in Quito by evening, an easy way to spend a full day in the Andes without needing any riding experience beyond basic comfort in the saddle.
