This 7-day tour provides the perfect introduction to the captivating ancient history of Egypt. The tour begins by visiting all of the main historical sites in Cairo and the Giza Plateau, including the world-renowned Great Pyramid, Sphinx, and Egyptian Museum. From there, we'll head south into Upper Egypt to the city of Luxor, which is rightfully known as the world's largest outdoor museum. Here, you'll have the chance to explore a wide range of temples and tombs, such as Luxor Temple, the enormous temple complex at Karnak, the tombs of the Valley of the Kings, Queen Hatshepsut and Medinat temples, and the Colossi of Memnon. Optional hot air balloon flights and felucca trips on the Nile will also be available during your stay in Luxor. The tour will conclude with some free time in Cairo, where you can choose to explore the city on your own or take an optional tour. Finally, we'll finish with an exploratory walk through the back streets of Islamic Cairo and the Khan-el-Khalili bazaar, allowing you to soak up the local atmosphere and pick up some last-minute souvenirs.

Upon your arrival, our staff will be waiting for you at the airport to assist you with obtaining your visa and collecting your luggage. They will then transfer you to your hotel, where they will help you settle in, introduce you to the local area, and provide you with an overview of tomorrow's arrangements. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy as you please. If you arrive early, you may wish to consider taking an evening dinner cruise on the Nile or experiencing the impressive sound and light show at the pyramids (both of which can be booked locally upon arrival).
