The Small Group Everest Base Camp (EBC) trek takes you into the heart of the Solu Khumbu region and to the place wherein 1952 Hillary and Tenzing planned their ascent of the world’s highest mountain. There are amazing mountain views to be had on the way to EBC. This is one of the most popular trekking destinations in Nepal. On the trail, you will see why this is so. The views, terrain, and adorable villages you pass will reinforce this opinion.
A highlight of this trek will be watching the sunrise over Everest, Lhotse, and other massive peaks from the well-known viewpoint of Mt. Kala Patthar. This is said to be probably the best vantage point to see Mt. Everest from anywhere in Nepal. Stopping off to acclimatize at the thriving town of Namche Bazaar is an exciting prelude before reaching EBC.
This trek is popular during the spring and the fall and some trekkers may find this too crowded. If you feel the Everest Base Camp trek may be too busy, then talk to us about heading to a more remote location.
