Tarebhir Day Hiking

Tarebhir is located in Gokarneshwor, north of Kathmandu, just below the Shivapuri National Park. Tarebhir is a perfect place for a quick weekend getaway and for some great food. For the first 30 minutes of the hike from Jagdol, Kapan to Tarebhir Village, a Tamang village in the foothills of ShivapuriNagarjun National Park, the trail is all uphill. The view is obscured by the trunks of pine trees and the view above by swaying pine needles.

A perfect location to enjoy with nature and beautiful view point to see the wonderful scenic Kathmandu valley is tare bhir which takes you away from the noisy and busy Kathmandu city life. Just Half an hour drive to Jagdol which is gateway of Tareveer Hiking point, a historical landmark located at Gokarneswor municipality. Once you steps into the park, The park will hearty welcome you with Pine forest & fluttering Buddhist prayer flags, which is amazingly picturesque attraction. As soon as uphill end after rocky trail & reach at on flat, then you will feel the real excursion of Tarebhir. The magnificent view of Kathmandu city, Kapan Monastery, countryside village & more. In fact, The hiking trail normally flat with inside the woods, fantastic landscape and the wonderful place.

After one hour easy walk, you will step into the view point where you can have rest and take a lunch if feeling hungry. This place naturally give you relax and enjoy the Tarebhir Shivapuri Hill dream which appear in front of you. The Tarebhir offer you a delighting experience in your forever life. As the hiking destination is so close within Kathmandu valley. This trail can be join any age either small family, student, senior citizen whatever.

Take return journey, further half an hour hike down hill towards the Budhanilkantha which is famous Lord Vishnu Sleeping God located here at the base of Shivapuri Hill. You can also visit Monastery and Stupa at Budhanilkantha if you have enough time until the Kathmandu return. There are well connection with Ratna Park transportation either local bus or hire taxi to get back to Kathmandu.
